Day Trips

We show you two examples for day trips here. Of course there are many more places which are worth a visit but this would be a nearly endless story here on the website. Made is happy to help you organize everything during your visit.

Trip 1

Lovina Tour

Made will take a “Sarong” with her when she will accompany you on the trip. A Sarong is a cloth which you have to wear to cover your legs while visiting a temple. It does not matter in this case if you are a woman or a man.

This tour starts with the direction to Singaraja where you can visit the old harbor. There is also a Chinese temple with a gold Buddha statue located. This temple was built in 1873 and was renovated in 2004.

We continue towards Bedugul and make a stop near the waterfall Gitgit. You have to pay an entry fee at the beginning but it is not necessary to pay for a guided tour while you are on the way through the forest. And do not let you bother from the sellers.

After this stop we carry on to Bedugul where you find a lovely and colorful fruit and vegetable market. If you are not sure about the prices ask the driver or Made, they can help you.

Carry on to the water temple Ulun Danu Bratan which was built in 1663. This temple is situated on the mountain on 1200 meters above sea level near the Lake Bratan and is sanctified to the God Shiva. Lake Braten is a volcanic lake its water is holy. You will have to pay an entry fee but the hole complex is really beautiful.

After the visit at this temple the trip will lead you on the high plateau to the Lake Tamblingan and Lake Buyan. On the way there you see breathtaking rice fields and have the opportunity to visit a restaurant.

In Banjar you can visit the Hot Waters. The sulphate water comes form Mount Batukaru. Those pools are used regularly by the Balinese people. If you have a problem with sulphur or hot water keep a distance because nobody can be vouched if everything would happen.

Trip 2

Kintamani Tour

You can enjoy a long interesting drive right in the middle of a wonderful mountain panorama and rice fields towards Kintamani. Above Kintamani there is a restaurant with a breathtaking view towards the Volcano Batur and Lake Batur. You can check with de driver what you would like to visit on this tour.
